Review
CCleaner is an advanced system cleanup utility. It is capable of cleaning up the leftovers of windows applications like Windows Explorer, Internet Explorer, etc. It is not just another cleanup utility; it differs from the rest by the feature rich interface. It is capable of deleting files like cookies & index.dat, which are notorious for storing the personal information. So, it is a must have for the ones who are too much bothered about privacy. Despite being relatively small in size, many other useful system utilities have been integrated into this package. One of the main features to be noted is the inclusion of a registry cleaner. It is a fact that the windows registry is prone to expanding into a lump size, if not maintained and compacted regularly. But messing with the registry is the last thing that any newbie would want to do. So, the registry cleaner must be reliable, that is where CCleaner scores points. It allows the user to backup the changes that he intends to make in registry, so that a rollback is made possible (it is not required most of the time). Moreover, it has a software uninstaller, which could be used to uninstall software. Another notable feature is the startup program manager, which is capable of handling the programs that startup with Windows, thereby acting as a good tune-up utility to increase the performance of PC. |
